And now for a flashback sequence to Bishop’s past, which is in the future.
I guess Ahmed is really into the idea of X-Book protagonists working on homebuilding and renovation, since he did a similar thing in Wolverine a few months ago.
Uh, didn’t Shard still come back from this?
>”I…I needed her to be alive so bad that at first, I had her turned into a hologram. Then that was destroyed too.”Oh okay, they did remember that. Nevermind then.
Hey, it’s Storm. Before you say anything, no they don’t reference his appearances in Storm’s comic or that he was taking care of that random kid that needed to be hidden away for some reason. Only thing that they’re referencing from it is that Bishop’s current design debuted there, and that’s about it.
>>154141108Bump
Oh no, it’s…a Pyro/Avalanche mash-up?
>”I don’t only dress in tribute to them. I carry their bloodlines.”Wait what
>Flamequake is from Bishop’s futureWell that explains things. I guess since Fitzroy is still locked up in the Factory following X-Men #21-22, they had to come up with another villain. Certainly beats whatever the hell they did back in Bishop: War College.
I was going to post this without the spoiler given that this was actually spoiled back when they announced the series in the first place, but there might be people who don't follow that stuff so I'm just placing it here just to be safe.
New month, new editorial pages. Yes, I was supposed to post these last week, but I forgot that it was a new month. Sorry about that.
We continue our new section about sharing fun facts of the people who work on the X-Books, this time focusing on Martín Cóccolo. And now for X-Men.
Previously in X-Men, Crimson Commando decided to go through with his plan of trying to destroy the X-Men, by hiring Beyond Corporation’s Maxine Danger and her team of four deranged people that she dubbed her “Danger Room”. Their plan was to divide the team with multiple situations happening at the same time: John Greycrow was hospitalized following his recent bank robbery getting sabotaged, Chief Robbins was kidnapped and placed inside a ship infected with a T-O virus and Glob Herman was shot by a mysterious gunman and was on the brink of death. But despite their planning, the divided X-Men were able to get out of their situations, and when one team of them went after Maxine, she teleported away promising that she would be back. At night, the X-Men confronted Crimson Commando at his own house and warned him that if he pulled off another stunt like this again, it would be the last one…
>chunks of the landscape are floatingJust like my video games!
>The cops are still not letting them throughOh well, at least you tried talking to them.>”Even a cop would be able to figure out that we’re here chasing a Cerebro ping.”I think you can already tell by now whose signal they’ve picked up.
>Ben is only here because Beast forced him to get outSo I guess even MacKay realized that Ben does almost nothing in this series. Although the setup here is a bit awkward, since the whole reason to why he’s only in the Factory all the time is because the X-Men hid the fact that he died and if he really needed to train and understand his powers, he could just do it in Graymatter Lane because they have a Danger Room there. Hell, Ben even appeared in the first two issues of United.
More speculation on what R-LDS actually is…
Now that I think about it, we still don’t know what happened to the info that AoR-Beast sent back in time >>151948976.
The only thing I can think of when looking at that design is that weird Beast story with the mutant cat. You know the one.
huh
>>154141169>>154141170Even the other writers read Ayodele's Storm and thought it was stupid
>The mind of the mutant they’re looking for was booby-trapped like Ben’sHmmm
Yup, it’s Schwarzschild! It was rather obvious that he survived with the way that Issue #24 went. Will he join the X-Men just like in AoR once the arc is over? We’ll just have to wait and see…

And now for Wolverine.
For the past 7 issues, Logan has been hanging around in Canada protecting a group of mutants calling themselves the New Morlocks with Silver Sable. But while he has been doing that, the Adamantine has been traveling around the world in search of champions worthy of it. But because it didn’t end up finding anyone filling its criteria, it decided to possess Hercules and kill Romulus. The possessed Hercules attacked the New Morlocks camp in search of Logan, but their fight was interrupted by Hercules’ half-sister Athena who freed Hercules from the Adamantine’s control. Athena reveals to Logan that only he can defeat the Adamantine because he’s the destined “Savage Champion” of this realm and teleports him to its current location, with Hercules tagging along. The Adamantine ends up easily taking down both of them, but before it could finish the job, three Savage Champions from other realities (read: three different variants of Logan) appear to help Logan defeat it. When Logan meets up with Silver Sable again, they both come to the decision that it would be better if he stayed away from the New Morlocks, or else he would end up attracting more danger, and walks away from them (for now). But now he faces a more dire problem, as the claws on his right hand have been shattered by the Adamantine during their battle…
>They claws are still not regeneratingIs this going to be like Uncanny X-Men #5-7 again where Logan’s eyes took several days to regenerate?
Hi Kurt. What’s up?
>Kurt is taking Logan to Waikiki Beach for vacationyippee
Photo montage!
I guess Ahmed really wanted to write Absorbing Man again after Black Bolt. Although I’m not a fan of making them villains again.
>>154141261>>154141265Seeing Xorn get to talk a little is nice. Not much panel time has been spent so far on characterizing him in this series. It's also neat to see that he and Magneto are somewhat on the same wavelength, not just that they can talk as equals, but that they express similar perspectives and manners. Makes it easier to believe that one could impersonate the other.>>154141299But oh right there was a third guy. I'm never gonna be able to reconcile that plotline in my head.
>Creel still remembers being wounded by Logan back in the original Secret WarsDon’t know what’s more surprising, the fact that Creel still remembers that or the fact that Creel apparently hasn’t faced Logan since.
Oh dear, here we go.
The entire X-line is boy repellent now...
Well, that's that.
>Logan is drunk…wait a minute, that’s not supposed to happen.
>Logan’s healing factor isn’t workingNot again.
Next week: X-Men United #4, Uncanny X-Men #30, Inglorious X-Force #6, Magik and Colossus #5.And that's it! If you liked these, support your LCS or whatever.

>>154141853That's an issue with most "future" characters, including Cable and everyone from 2099. They keep acting like their future is still a thing that will for sure happen even after all the the things they should have changed by going back in time, but all the future characters come from completely different futures, so it's impossible for all of them to come true.I think the only "future" character whose future wasn't treated like a serious possibility was Old Man Logan, and that was because he arrived in 616 during a time in which Wolverine was dead, so as far as anyone knew his future was obviously impossible.
>>154141108Bumping for reading... didn't really have any big intentions of reading Bishop, but since I woke up middle of the night, I guess I'll give it a shot.

>>154142102I think that both Armageddon and Queen in Black are set before Logan even goes to meet the New Morlocks (and QiB has to be set before Armageddon because of Cap appearing in the former while being in a coma in the latter). The things that should concern us is if Silver Sable is making an appearance in Armageddon given that Symkaria is going to be involved, but also when the other X-Books will start referencing the events of Wolverine and if they'll do it before the Hellfire Murder, because that's when things will get really complicated.

Its tricky to bring in a reality warper since with enough understanding they'd solve most problems right away, also there's a risk he'd just undo the whole Danger Room by knowing its all just simulation. Ben probably getting saved for some really strong enemy that's too much for the rest of the X-men members to handle.

>>154151308Muties get a crime pass from the X-men. Now if you're human or god forbid super human expect an X-man to beat you into a coma for daring to rob a bank
>>154160972Hard to argue with, maybe if he didn't literally live with them I could be like it isn't worth bothering with. I remember some panel from adjectiveless or psylockes solo where he's just robbing some regular ass bank shooting at cops. Like wtf if this dude wasn't fucking psylocke then they'd be blasting him right now.
No Gabby this week, sad
