Hey, it’s Storm. Before you say anything, no they don’t reference his appearances in Storm’s comic or that he was taking care of that random kid that needed to be hidden away for some reason. Only thing that they’re referencing from it is that Bishop’s current design debuted there, and that’s about it.

Previously in X-Men, Crimson Commando decided to go through with his plan of trying to destroy the X-Men, by hiring Beyond Corporation’s Maxine Danger and her team of four deranged people that she dubbed her “Danger Room”. Their plan was to divide the team with multiple situations happening at the same time: John Greycrow was hospitalized following his recent bank robbery getting sabotaged, Chief Robbins was kidnapped and placed inside a ship infected with a T-O virus and Glob Herman was shot by a mysterious gunman and was on the brink of death. But despite their planning, the divided X-Men were able to get out of their situations, and when one team of them went after Maxine, she teleported away promising that she would be back. At night, the X-Men confronted Crimson Commando at his own house and warned him that if he pulled off another stunt like this again, it would be the last one…

>Ben is only here because Beast forced him to get out
So I guess even MacKay realized that Ben does almost nothing in this series. Although the setup here is a bit awkward, since the whole reason to why he’s only in the Factory all the time is because the X-Men hid the fact that he died and if he really needed to train and understand his powers, he could just do it in Graymatter Lane because they have a Danger Room there. Hell, Ben even appeared in the first two issues of United.

And now for Wolverine.
>>
For the past 7 issues, Logan has been hanging around in Canada protecting a group of mutants calling themselves the New Morlocks with Silver Sable. But while he has been doing that, the Adamantine has been traveling around the world in search of champions worthy of it. But because it didn’t end up finding anyone filling its criteria, it decided to possess Hercules and kill Romulus. The possessed Hercules attacked the New Morlocks camp in search of Logan, but their fight was interrupted by Hercules’ half-sister Athena who freed Hercules from the Adamantine’s control. Athena reveals to Logan that only he can defeat the Adamantine because he’s the destined “Savage Champion” of this realm and teleports him to its current location, with Hercules tagging along. The Adamantine ends up easily taking down both of them, but before it could finish the job, three Savage Champions from other realities (read: three different variants of Logan) appear to help Logan defeat it. When Logan meets up with Silver Sable again, they both come to the decision that it would be better if he stayed away from the New Morlocks, or else he would end up attracting more danger, and walks away from them (for now). But now he faces a more dire problem, as the claws on his right hand have been shattered by the Adamantine during their battle…

Seeing Xorn get to talk a little is nice. Not much panel time has been spent so far on characterizing him in this series. It's also neat to see that he and Magneto are somewhat on the same wavelength, not just that they can talk as equals, but that they express similar perspectives and manners. Makes it easier to believe that one could impersonate the other.

They constantly change what exactly his future is and what caused it going back to Messiah Complex to the point where I'm guessing he himself is just some kind of time anomaly at this point whose past/future is constantly in flux.
>>
>>154141853
That's an issue with most "future" characters, including Cable and everyone from 2099. They keep acting like their future is still a thing that will for sure happen even after all the the things they should have changed by going back in time, but all the future characters come from completely different futures, so it's impossible for all of them to come true.
I think the only "future" character whose future wasn't treated like a serious possibility was Old Man Logan, and that was because he arrived in 616 during a time in which Wolverine was dead, so as far as anyone knew his future was obviously impossible.

I think that both Armageddon and Queen in Black are set before Logan even goes to meet the New Morlocks (and QiB has to be set before Armageddon because of Cap appearing in the former while being in a coma in the latter). The things that should concern us is if Silver Sable is making an appearance in Armageddon given that Symkaria is going to be involved, but also when the other X-Books will start referencing the events of Wolverine and if they'll do it before the Hellfire Murder, because that's when things will get really complicated.

There's around 7,000 people with super powers in the Marvel universe. There are 6,000,000,000 people in the 616 universe. the chance of running into one of these super heroes or villains' is 0.0001167%

Mutants alone should be six gorillion, depending on recent mutiecausts/reality rewrites. Not all muties are superpowered, but enough of them are for the the unpowered ones to be seen as an inferior caste minority and not the default of the species. I'd say it's closer to 0.05%, not terribly likely but still more odds than w
winning the lotery.
Furthermore, this is New York, world mecca of superpowered freaks. Can't throw a rock because it's too damn high/ without it getting thrown back to you telepathically

DNX and AoR do it through the X-Virus and gene bombs, the idea to contaminate the water to make mutants was from a random Hydra scientist that experimented on exclusively on mutants since WWII so that he could get the X-Genes he wanted to implement into his robots
Mutina apparently took this story and claimed that it was a mutant plot all along because her whole gimmick is that she's a self-hating mutant sellout

Logan is the most popular X-Book character and makes appearances throughout the line and outside of Marvel
A big reason to why Logan's ongoings rarely do any massive changes to the character outside of maybe a costume change is because the X-Line will be forced to adapt to it as fast as possible, causing problems for the titles where he's a main player in
>>
>>154142711
At some point editorial adapted he "you can't tell writers what to do and ruin their vision and continuity is just a shackle preventing great stories" shit so they're effectively useless and do nothing.
>>
>>154149234
That's the right attitude to have, it'll all work itself out eventually. Stan Lee gave himself needless headaches trying to coordinate Avengers with what was happening in their respective solo books to the point where he decided to wipe the slate clean and just stick to Cap, Quicksilver, Wanda, and Hawkeye. Ultimately he was overthinking it.
>>
>>154141302
was it really that surprising?
>>
>>154149392
The key is to make giant world shaking changes RARE, so that you have time to coordinate things.

Adopted (but he never learned her real identity anyway) , NOT Bio-Related (his Aborigine parents came alone to the USA as refugees the day before Australia got nuked by China during WW3 in a flashback during Mike Carey’s run) so it’s 100% AAAWWWRRRIIIGGGHHHTTT (they had sexual tension up the wazoo during the OG XMen Blue/Gold era in the 1990s)
>>
>>154151308
The 616-X-men have much more often than not been anti-Establishment outlaws anyway and GreyCrow is now apparently a RobinHood-type who only robs the type of megacorp oligarch banks who Occupy Wall Street fought back against in the 2010s after the 2008 Global Financial Crisis (which is why USA Big Business invented/funded the gender-war MeToo Movement and the Trans Rights Movement [since the traditional LGB’s were pacified by the growing success of Global Marriage Equality] to distract and divide the Western political spectrum)
>>
>>154151393
supposedly she had no physical genetic samples , as she was always a sentient hologram (due to future Forge-tech) in present-day 616 , and when she regained her physical body in the possible future ruled by her ex-bf Trevor Fitzroy, she just turned herself back into pure light energy anyway which got absorbed by her brother and used to disrupt her Fitzroy’s timegod-ascension ceremony in the last issue of Bishop : The Last Xman series; (he later appeared alive again in The Last Days of the XMen story just before Krakoa, but was killed by ONE) . But if you read Age of XMan : Bishop , 616-Shard was somehow mysteriously resurrected in Nate Grey’s pocket reality with her memories intact , where she appeared to her brother while he was in secret jail , but Bishop dismissed her as his hallucination due to drugs , so he never bothered to confirm if she was real or not or whether she went back to 616 or stayed in NG’s pocket reality (and Vita de Ayala later was so miffed at Marvel for canceling her New Mutants series on Krakoa , she never followed up on it before she quit to work on elsewhere)

That was Vietnamese, but I get your point. But yes, eventually a writer who is actually Vietnamese and thus knows what they're talking about revealed that Karma's real name is Xuân Cao Mạnh.
I'm guessing eventually someone will reveal Xorn's "real" Chinese name. Come to think of it, a few weeks ago we also found out Jubilee's Chinese name was Ga-hei, although Jubilation Lee is still her official legal name since she's Chinese American.

>>
>>154141259
I mean, he did help with that mutant who went into that space alien. Its tricky to bring in a reality warper since with enough understanding they'd solve most problems right away, also there's a risk he'd just undo the whole Danger Room by knowing its all just simulation. Ben probably getting saved for some really strong enemy that's too much for the rest of the X-men members to handle.
>>

Hard to argue with, maybe if he didn't literally live with them I could be like it isn't worth bothering with.
