As for whether the regular eyed or X eyed version goes with the artist focused or business focused look is more up in the air. With that being the case, I think that a tan based off of branding instead of shows makes way more sense, since that's less cumbersome as it gets a larger amount of shows incorporated into it, plus other channel tans aren't really "show based" in their designs.

Disney-tan is also a unique case because Disney as a whole incorporates Mickey Mouse into their branding, so it seeps into her design. Besides that? It's essentially JUST brand being infused into their design choices. Besides, you want that distinction because then you can draw the channel-tan interacting with characters from their series and not have it look as jarring to have them next to their own shows.
