I think the Jax being trans interpretation is fair and is what Gooseworx was alluding to given Jax is the character they relate to the most. Given what happens in episode 9 and the hints and small pieces of dialogue from previous episodes, I'm certain that the trans-reading is intentional. I think the only problem is that when we see IRL Jax, they still go by a male name and are very clearly male looking. Seems kinda weird if Jax is trans that his IRL counterpart they're based on hasn't fully transitioned. Especially since the IRL people the cast are copied from are supposedly all living their best lives. But I think the trans elements are simply an allegory and that Jax's story is simply about them being unable to connect to people. Goose obviously put a lot of themselves into Jax but whether the character is trans or not, it doesn't matter.
