I stopped watching this show after the movie came out, but I caught a few eps of the last two seasons on MAX and I found out that not only can the Joker talk, but he's been in quite a few episodes. I saw an ep about Swamp Thing too, and Aquaman (played by Patrick Warburton) and Black Manta (J.B. Smoov). The ep with those two wasn't as funny as the joker ones I've seen, but I like the VA choices for them. Is this a recent thing? And why couldn't they do this earlier? And why can't they make Batman talk still? Alfred, the Joker, Bane, and Harley Quinn all speak now and have plots about them.
If they paid Tara strong any more, the GDP of America will collapse

>>154153153Is that fucking Zeep the Living Sponge
>>154153153>And why couldn't they do this earlier?I remember some years ago when I was told by some jackass that it was "law of conservation of detail" when I asked why it took so long for the other members of the High Five besides Jinx and Gizmo to have lines when Kevin Michael Richardson was right fucking there voicing Trigon for multiple episodes.Writing dialogue solely for the Titans probably led to burnout with all material being stretched to its absolute limits so now they're finding out that they need other characters beyond them to add to the comedy and setting and admittedly, it's definitely made the show more entertaining.
I wonder if we'll get a Batman-speaking ep when Robin goes on his inevitable 5 episode arc. >Starfire had that trip to her home planet with 50% chad, the booty scooty freak, the toothfairy, her weird AI robot and Folding Paper Man>Beast Boy went to visit the doom patrol>Raven visited Trigon, her grandma, a ghost and a cat>Cyborg has his night begins to shine episodes
>>154153834>50% chad???
>>154153153They just kinda stopped caring and decided to just do whatever the fuck they want and part of that is taking advantage of the fact that they technically exist in the DC Universe, so they use the Titans as a way to poke fun at it.It's kinda like DC Family Guy for kids.Regular DC Family Guy is the Harley Quinn cartoon.
>>154154907Mister Nobody needs to guest star as the villain of a three part special
>>154154935The Harley Quinn cartoon feels more like a Venture Bros to me.
>>154153153THIS SHIT IS STILL AIRING? Also why does this frame look like it was taken from a Kyle Carrozza cartoon?
>>154155242In some ways, it is, but I feel like it's closer to Family Guy due to the way it liberally interprets its source material.
>>154155242A Venture Bros written by Broad City writers who very obviously wish they were working on Marvel, are bitter that they aren't, and are taking their anger out on every male character barring Superman and Nanaue.

Something I've noticed is that when a character in this show starts to talk, they dump a superior design for something much more simple looking and lame. Bumblebee was a victim of this too.
>>154155381
>>154155388is slade voiced by will arnett in the show too
>>154155388There's a difference between showing up for a crowd where they won't even move, and actually being designed to be animated and stuff.
>>154155381>>154155404Thank you
>>154155404She feels like one of those joke characters who if you really think about her abilities she'd be actually OP.
I think they were trying to force themselves into writing original plots and not relying on DC staples too much to not become like every other DC show When they exhausted their options they decided DC staples are fair game
>>154155940Some of those designs are worse off and harder to animate>riddler gets pupils ruining the point of his mask >joker loses his inverted eyes that contrast with his white skin. gets pink lips for some reason >poison ivy gets censored with leggings and has an unnecessary ugly bright green added to her color schemepenguins is ok i guess
They didn't talk? What the fuck?
>>154159777>>gets pink lips for some reason He always had red lips, the design above was based on his second one in the DCAU where he didn’t have them
>>154159784Characters that aren't directly related to Titans like the JL and their villains didn't have dialogue but rather just had sound effects like laughs and were only tangentially included in plotsCharacters that are considered lower tier or more obscure than the Titans were actual characters with lines, I think it was done to prevent it from becoming just another JL-lite show and to highlight the Titans themselves and lesser known characters
>>154159777Nta but Bane, Solomon Grundy, and Harley all get botched redesigns too
>>154155388>>154159777I'm glad people are coming around on Devito penguin.
>>154160209Suicide squad has been a disaster for Harley Quinn in DC.
>>154159819That's fucking surreal, I had no idea. People post the cameos all the time so I thought it was a constant thing.
>>154153153WTF the chick from Hero Hotline?
>>154158145I think she's from the original Dail-A-Hero comic, which was just a gag book about superheroes with lame powers actually doing the "cat stuck in a tree" thing as their job.
>>154160787Genuinely suprised it took them this long to reference Hero Hotline. You'd think the DCU comedy show would have featured more of the characters actually meant to be comedic. Have Capt. Carrot, Ambush Bug, or 'Mazing Man shown up?

I really like the Nanaue episode. Micheal Jai white was a guest on the last one
