Say Cap or Tony try to run for office as a dem, but then run straight into the hard brick wall of reality when they have to first make it through a primary. Their past actions, statements and positions get scrutinized and relitigated by their primary opponents, social media tries to nail them on any number of niche issues, and once they're through the primary they have to do it all over again but defend themselves from the other direction, and on top of that have to answer for a bunch of shit done by other party representatives and influencers in completely unrelated contexts.
