>>154164744Same energy as this
>>154164744>favourite turtle is all fourI have unashamedly boring and vanilla taste
>>154164744I get this is probably for young kids, but the idea of having officially branded caskets feels slightly ghoulish.

>>154164744As a kid I thought Leonardo was cool as fuck. Now I vibe more with Raphael. I guess my worldview changed as I got older. Also used to be a massive crybaby, now I’m just jaded and grumpy
>>154165144Leo vs Ralph peaked in this movie.

Time to kill myself and finally use my michelangelo's Casket!!!
Raph has been my boy since I was a kid.
>>154164787It's only ghoulish because it's someone's IP. Getting buried with something that was precious to you in life is not a new concept. It serves as a reminder of how pervasive these cultural artifacts are in our society and what we give up by letting them take that role in our lives. Bury me with Leonardo so he can let me down one last time
>>154164783they are meant to work as a unit, so that's not a bad thing.>>154164787Oh god, that makes it MUCH worse.I took it as lonely single guys who never got to have a family and died alone and let's buy him something we think he would like because we feel guilty that we never fucking talked to him
>>154165144man, reverse. I used to be the hotheaded guy, now i'm the chill leader that nobody wants to listen to because he's fucking right.though I'm really a little of all of them. Don and Mike are just the two kinds of smart.
>>154165583>what we give up by letting them take that role in our lives.you have it in the wrong order. we were denied the rightful lives, so we filled them with precious IPs. and then, when those become destroyed by modern idiots, it hurts like someone kicked our dog, instead of just like someone ruined our hobby.videogames are doin that to me at the moment. You really don't realize how much of a coping mechanism something is, until they take that away, too. and you realize you have absolutely nowhere to go.
>>154164783Shine on you crazy diamond. Shine on...
Actually, are these even officially licensed by Viacom, or is it one of those unofficial things that’s vague enough to skirt copyright laws?>>154165583Not necessarily that it’s an IP, but more so that a company is capitalizing on it. If it was carved/painted by request of family, that’s sweet. But a company selling off specific designs like that just comes across as incredibly cynical to me.
>>154165863I was gonna say 'hey, it's the one product you can guarantee every customer will eventually need' except these days don't most people cremate? Nobody wants to go through the expense and ritual of the funeral, since everyone's either atheist, or the non-superstitious kind of christian that doesn't think the body or its treatment matter for shit, on account of that would have been a commandment if it did matter. We'd rather spend the money now, while we can enjoy it. And sometimes, if you let it pile up enough, that stuff DOES become your coffin.
