Why is Skeletor the best part of He-Man?
>>
>>154169852
It's pretty common with antagonists, not just He-Man.
>Megatron
>Shredder
>Cobra Commander
>>
>>154169914
Agree with all those except megs, i always found him boring compared to other decepticons. Krang is better then shredder and cobra commander is genuinely one of the greatest fictional characters made in the later half of the 20th century imo

Holy fuck no, galvatron being a schizoid mess was fucking fantastic. Some of the best G1 moments is galvatron being a mentally ill psycho

There were some insane stories about Leto's method acting when he played Joker and Morbius, there has to be something even crazier from him playing Skeletor.

>>154169852
Toy cartoon villains tended to just look cooler than the heroes because pre-Star Wars, villain toys had tended to be a difficult sell, and the villains drive the plot. Without them, nothing happens.

>>154169925
It's the group dynamic of the villains that elevate them to greatness, whether it's the Decepticons being like a biker gang that just happens to be powerful and ambitious enough to shoot for ruling the galaxy, with Starscream as the rival would-be new leader, to Krang and Shredder bickering like an old married couple, to the internal rivalries, soap opera and power struggles of Cobra's leadership, this stuff was always more compelling than whatever the good guys would be doing when left to their own devices.

Which is gonna come back first, anime 2002 motu or cgi 2021 motu?
>>
>>154169378
He was blue Tom Selleck pre-accident and they remember.
>>
Would anyone be interested in a storytime of the 2010s comics?
>>
>>154169925
Megatron a largely carried by having Optimus as a rival and Starscream's antics. He also has the rep of being one of the few 80's cartoon villains that actually killed the hero.

Nah hot rods a boring fag. Kup was based tho

Man this will never happen because i'm ugly and fat but i wish when i'd be 50-60 i could look like Tom Selleck (or alternatively Timothy Dalton with the stache). And hopefully my wife would age like one of those Japanese or a specific type of Italian ladies and grow into absolute hot cougars. It'd be great.

But this is Eternia, outside of Prince Adam in some iterations nearly every man on this planet has the arnie body.

Why is Evil-Lynn still the only female in Skeletor’s evil warriors roster?

I understand stand why it was that way in the 1980s, but you would think the franchise would add more female members in the last 20 years.

I like how Adam was still ripped as fuck, but was still considered the wimpy nerd by everyone else.

>Look guys it's Adam! He can only bench 450lbs! What a gigantic pussy faggot!!!!!

The original cartoon from the 80s is braindead, aimed at kids barely older than toddlers and a shameless toy commercial but it's actually comfy.
And I have zero nostalgia for it, I was born in 97.

CGI-Man was just best outright. The original Filmation series is really hard to watch in bulk these days.
>>
>>154184236
Relatable

>>154184344
The Filmation show is like Silver Age comics. They're self-contained adventures you're supposed to consume one episode per day

>They're self-contained adventures you're supposed to consume one episode per day
I know, but I feel like they made such a glut of shows and the intention was that they could be viewed in any order that it makes the characters really thin, there's no growth because there can't be, which means all the stories just end up being exactly the same with the minutiae changed.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's bad, just that almost every iteration since has improved on the original show, and that the CGI series is the outright best.
Also I will never not be mad that it got cancelled and we won't get the next season with the heroes on Earth going up against Kevin Conroy Dracula Hordak.

Amazon legit went on record they're happy with public performance and will continue to fund the series. Preorders for blurays are up, as are toys

MOTU lore is actually pretty cool. Is it a good balance of sci fi meets sorcerery?
>>
>>154184773
He-Man has always been a toy commercial. Now and forever. Even if the movie flops in the box office it'll still be seen as a success if it pushes toy sales.

Reminder it's now practically lost media and Mattel disowned it.
He-Man and classic She-Ra are eternal.
>>
>>154187101
It's criminal it's practically forgotten.
It took what the old Filmation He-Man had, added some darker elements without it impacting it negatively and perfectly updated it for the times then.
It's a shame they didn't produce one more season of it.

Evil-Lyn and Skeletor had a really interesting relationship.
Larry DiTillio was the one writing her background and sadly he passed away between this show getting canceled and the next reboot, so we'll never know where he was going with her.

Wasn't her whole deal basically sleeping her way to the top. She hooked up with Eternia's most powerful wizard, so she could eventually learn his secrets, kill him, and replace him?
>>
>>154170729
Jared Leto put blood on his face while playing Skeletor for making everyone around him uncomfortable like they'd be with a living skull
