The CN City era was kino. Powerhouse boomers are cringe.

Toonheads sucked. Late Night Black & White sucked. Hanna-Barbera slop sucked. Scrappy Doo Meets the Fonz sucked. Only 40 year olds liked that boring shit.

I grew up during the Noods era.

How many boards are you going to post this low effort zoomie bait thread on, OP? You posted the same shit on /b/ and /tv/.

ANYONE around back them would say that while CN city had the vastly superior bumpers, and the promotional material was Soulful as fuck, the ACTUAL programming of that era was complete and total dogshit that only got worse into the YES! Era before the eventual dark ages.

Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Krypto The Super Dog, Camp Lazlo , My, Gym Partners a Monkey, Squirrel Boy, Code Lyoko, What's New Scooby Doo, and (if you aren't masturbating to fan art of the show and actually watching it as a kid) HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi we're all trash that would play nonstop or at prime hours for kids.

Getting home after school and flipping on CN just to get hit by a double dicking of Krypto the super dog into the most souless and bland iteration of Scooby Doo to air at that point every day was awful. The ONLY points lower in CN's lifetime was coming home and getting a TRIPLE dicking of Johnny Test into Skunk Fu into Camp Lazlo, or the infinite deluge of TTG.

Yeah, 4chan's been like that more often. Bot spam (either the sharty Jak kind or the Imgur-tier image dumping kind) are allowed, but the crossover thread from yesterday got pruned .

>the crossover thread from yesterday got pruned .
Oh, you mean the /co/ and /a/ crossover? Yeah, I thought it was a baffling decision for it to be deleted while there's a vaguely EvW thread currently up.

Holy fuck It's worse than I remember jesus christ. Look at this shit. NO kid was excited for this lineup.

>>154171726
These shows were garbage if you were around at the time. What's new had the least charismatic versions of the gang and Code Lyoko was coming out at a time where their competition was some of Toonami's best. They were smoking crack if they expected 11 yr olds to watch arguably Toonami's best lineup and the strong early anime showing on Adult Swim...then be ok with the pale imitation french stuff.

At least Martin Mysteries and Totally spies hit a niche that none of the currently airing anime overlapped with.
>>
>>154171783
That's not the City era. Looks more like 2008-2009.
>>
>>154171713
What's wrong with Juniper Lee?
>>
If you were a child at the time, of course you prefer it. If you were over 13 at the time then that's just your autism.
>>
>>154171877
CN City bumpers are soul, deal with it.
>>
>>154171893
Soul is just another word for nostalgia. Your nostalgia. Not mine.

Nope.

Still find it funny how I'm the only person who brought up Noods LMAO.
>>
>>154171919
I don't call my nostalgia "soul" because I don't have autism.

It's from 08'. Here's a sample of what today would look like for each year. You can make your own determination.

>>154171824
In a vacuum? Not much, but it was 'another' monster of the week action show with D tier action coming out at a time when Toonami was bringing some of the best it could offer. It was way undercooked for the demographic it was targeting and would have been better served next to Kim Possible and Jake Long on disney or coming out in the 90's. It's the same with the HUB trying to track the anime audience with crap like KaiJudo, if that came out in like 2002-2003 next to TMNT sure...but nobody is getting hype for that when battle shonen is at its height. The product needs to be waaaay better to compete.

>>154171931
lmfao
>>
>>154171980
Yeah, I had a depressing childhood. Pretty sure I was part of the mid-gen Zoomers who were only aware of Toonami when it left after some time. My best alternative? 4Kids...
>>
>>154170585
I only grew up with the 2010s CN era
>>
>>154171991
I honestly blame the high suicide rate among zoomers on the shit cartoon offerings of the 2000s and 2010s.
>>
>>154171991
Fox Box and 4Kids were pretty trash all things considered, but I'll admit I have a soft spot. It was the last place videogame shows aired like Sonic-X and Kirby (those basically died in the 90's) and it served some interesting niches so at the time I remember it being an oasis of mid in an era where CN was garbage, Nick decided the Naked brother band was something worth airing, and Disney was Hannah Montana, The Sweet Life of Zack and Cody, and Phil of the Future the channel.

People will shit on adventure time, but I remember what 05-2010 was like and it was actually irritating what was constantly airing. As garbage as SU was it was nothing compared to the low point of Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partners a Monkey, and Out of Jimmy's head.
>>
>>154172105
Nick Rewind was the only reason I'm still alive. They used to have a select few R&S episodes on offer, and that's what immediately got me hooked on the show. In hindsight, having that be my first impression of 90s Nick made me slightly disappointed in its other offerings by comparison. (Except Rocko, that was consistently within the same league as R&S.)
>>
>>154172108
>Disney was Hannah Montana, The Sweet Life of Zack and Cody, and Phil of the Future the channel.
Ughhh, that's honestly why I hated Disney out of the main three channels since they constantly had /tv/slop on offer. Nick was terrible with it as well, but at least the toons balanced out all the schniederslop.
>>
>>154172125
That's awesome. Well, I'm glad you're still alive anon.

>92-04 vs CN City
I didn't think those were considered distinctly separate things. Weren't they still using earlier CN characters well into the live action bumpers?
>>
>>154170585
>zoomzoom doesn’t know about the pre-CN city where Cartoon Network characters are living their lives in the real world.

Shit like that was mind blowing to me as a kid, like Ricardo Lopez or Kurt Cobain mind blowing. CN city was kino too.
>>
>>154171078
Probably in Adult Swim’s vault since those bumpers were mostly directed by those guys, and whatever production studio that modeled most of the CG stuff.
>>
>>154172694
Funny enough, Cow and Chicken weren't in the City bumpers as far as I'm aware. I definitely never saw them nor I.M. Weasel's cast in any big capacity.
