The same for Hawkeye? Why are they going back to the Like Cage, WolverineX l, Spider-Man well again?
>>154174254because EMH Wasp is the only good Wasp
her schtick is annoying. arguing with her husband, who himself, is not a popular character.
>>154174254Since the launch of New Avengers in 2004, Marvel editorial and most writers want to do that kind of 'all-star' book and seem to have internalized Millar and Bendis' negative opinions on the characters who used to be mainstays of the title pre-New Avengers.Since the post-Hickman Avengers books underperformed badly enough for Marvel to move with a speed they never usually do, and drop the idea of Avengers being a big franchise with a lot of titles, nothing they've tried since has sold better than a B-tier title, so now they're hoping for New Avengers nostalgia and going back to those characters again in the hope that the star power of Spider-Man and Wolverine will sell the book. It's not specifically something against Wasp or Hawkeye any more than it's against any of the others. It sucks, but like most other problems at Marvel, nothing's going to change until the Quesada-era people running Marvel, and the like-minded people they hired in turn are all finally cleared out.
>>154174467They have been separated for decades at this point
>>154174254>>154174357>>154174480Mabye Whirlwind was onto something.
Remember when she led the Avengers?
>>154174254She was in Avengers AI not that long ago. It wasn't bad but it kind fell on its face in the end. The handling of Hank over the years really muddied things.
>>154174630Avengers AI was 12 years ago or you talking about Avengers Inc.?
>>154174605Yes, reading this and avenger disassembled is sad.Reading 80s spidey knowing that OMD happened tier of sad
Wasp disrespect is unreal
>>154174851Hard to respect a character that’s only became a super hero because she forced her husband to help her than they divorce and she gets by completely on his tech.
>>154174553There are two kinds of wasp writers. Those that see her as a perpetual victim, and those that hate her.
>>154174867Hank was not even her husband when he gave her powers
>>154174979Eh point is she never would’ve became a hero without Hank.
>>154174552Preach
>>154174729Yeah I meant Avengers Inc. Damn these titles are starting to blend together.
>>154175001It's not that bad really, it makes for a good origin. Became a superhero to avenge her father's death who also was Hank's friend, makes sense why she came up with the Avengers name later
>>154174254Should've been in Marvel Tokon instead of Shuri
>>154174254the real question is....why bring her back after her death in Secret Invasion? And why create another Wasp when your old Wasp is still around (and a flop)?
Marvel Rivals save us
She's a boring skank like most Marvel women.
>>154174467Hey, you. Fuck you, you 2000s ass, non comic reading, cum dump.
She was fun in MUA3. Oh god was that really seven fucking years ago.
>>154174467Hank Pym is great and I don't care for you
>Why doesn’t Marvel use the Wasp in any of the Avengers rosters anymore?>>154176948>Diddy
>>154177028Oh dear….
Hank and Janet are in a weird situation where they were made as a package deal and are seen as such by some but history has irreparably split them up
>>154177583>has irreparablyit's not irreparably the editors and writers just need to let if fucking go even ignoring the artists mistake it's not a big deal he was having a mental breakdown it doesn't make him some wife beater and other characters have done worse and got excused
>>154177583>has irreparably split them upThey were fine for DECADES before Bendis decided to fuck them up again. Busiek did great by them. This is one of the worst aspects of post 2000s comics. They pick at old wounds for cheap drama after they've healed.
>>154177679>>154177699I've seen a lot of Hank and Janet fans that don't want them together, most are fine with them being divorced and still friends but the romantic relationship is pretty much dead even if there's no bad blood between them.
>>154174480That is wild how edgy they made some scenes. What other non mature under pg 13 show has shots like this and this obvious and well made? Wasp chest is really close to being showing too much and being adult
>>154177699You could probably blame Austen also as he was the writer immediately after Busiek who pretty much character assassinated Hank and ignored all his character growth.
>>154177972I think it'd be funny/interesting if Hank Pym got with Rita Demara. You could not only do some interesting character moments with them together plus some fun bits about her having stolen his Yellowjacket costume but it'd be really funny to have Rita be catty and snide towards Janet considering their history.
>>154178095The whole thing with Tigra was nice. Especially given how hard she was on him way back in the day.
>>154178114Aye I actually like that Jed Mackay had them finally catch up in his Moon Knight run in a cordial manner despite her having moved on from their relationship plus let Hank casually engineer the anti magic properties of Mysterium cause it's a material derived from kirbons which are Pym Particle adjacent.
I know what to do! Wasp should date another hero!
>>154175001She'd a have a completely different powerset and name, but rich orphan wanting to avenge her father has a lot of options.
Hank will always be relevant thanks to having a family which is reliant on him but Wasp has no family and no one who is connected to her in any way beyond cumdump donor.
>>154175110>PreachThe sad thing is some franchises of books get to just decline and decline for years going into decades, but they still keep getting multiple books because editorial can't remember a time when that didn't happen, but the moment Marvel fumbled all their Avengers books at once, they go right back to 1-2 books at most and stay like that. Now maybe that's the market working like it's supposed to, but it'd be better if it was applied like that across the board, instead of other titles and characters being allowed to keep failing out of some sense that they're "supposed" to have all those books even when nobody wants to buy them.
>>154177583It's strange, but there are some Marvel couples that get broken up because one guy didn't like them, and somehow it just sticks, everyone just goes along with it, and there are others where as soon as there's a change in writer or editor, everyone seems to want to get them back together again, even if maybe the fandom has moved on. For a good 20 years after the divorce, Hank and Jan were in the latter category, where Avengers writers kept on trying to get them back together, but the constant stories about the slap, plus it being the only thing about them that casuals knew, thanks to Wizard Magazine and internet fandom constantly joking about it, let to Millar's Ultimates and Austen's Avengers run effectively killing the pairing.
>>154179460Rude
Because there hasn't been an actual Avengers book since Bendis took over
>>154176948This era of Marvel characters being celebs is the worst
>>154184463I call it the TMZ era. We're still kinda in it.
>>154182268The fact that you can’t even say one person just proves him right anon.
>>154184479It's a damn shame, Stan was out there desperately trying to not make it trashy for like 20-30 years and now they just throw all that away during a time where people were getting into fandom and actually learning more of the ins and outs of comics and their storylines. Editorial are fucking scum.
>>154174605>One of the few times Jan and Scott team up>They end up beating the Absorbing Man and Titania, giving the Avengers their second wind.Weird they didn't team up more
>>154174254Because she's boring, lame, and literally nobody gives a fuck other than "remember that time Hank...".
>>154186531So this is what wrong people say
>>154186531Wrong zoomer
