I never want to hear any more complaints about Disney doing mostly sequels and remakes ever again, as well the bad marketing, ugly looking characters and/or movie tickets being too expensive excuses. If you really want Disney/Pixar to make more original shit and perhaps even do 2d animation again, you need to give this movie and others like it a chance, otherwise reap what you sow and prepare for Toy Story 10 and/or a live action remake of Encanto.

Is it just me, or does disney/pixar tend to really miss the mark with animating cats? Their cats just usually strike me as not catlike enough, in visual design, behavior, and movement. I think maybe they anthropomorphize them a little too much. Or maybe the animators are just too experienced doing dogs, and making other animals too doglike, sometimes (they noticeably and purposely do this with horses a lot).Anyway, maybe Gatto will be an improvement, since cats are the whole assignment, and it’s not like the teaser sucked at the cat animation that bad. There’s some admittedly good cat behaviors there. But, some of those character designs are still too roly poly and gremlin looking, imo. The MC is the only one that I think they really nailed.
