I had this dream the other night that felt so real. I watched a movie called "Life in Hell: The Matt Groening Story". It was initially framed as a documentary honoring Matt (played by himself) for his 75th birthday, being filmed by an art student played by Zach Hadel. He travels to Portland where Groening agreed to be shadowed and filmed for a week. It started out fairly normal, they visit some spots in Portland and Groening talks a bit, but there's an assassination attempt. A cartoon ninja tries to kill Groening, but Matt turns the tables on him with a pen that draws toon magic, like Chalk Zone or something. So they track down who sent the assassin and it turns out it were sent by Tracey Ullman, who is played by herself but it's just her head, imposed on an animated robot body. They fight and talk a bit, Ullmanbot cries about how she both loves and hates impact The Simpsons had on her career and life. Groening apologizes, Ullmanbot opens a portal to the cartoon universe and then dies. They go through in to the animated world and end up tracking down the big bad, and it turned out to be Binky from Life in Hell. For the past 40 years, Binky hated his creator for turning his back on him, then Matt shows him an art diary and reveals he has drawn Binky every day for 40 years, and that the characters are alive in his mind and heart. Movie ended with Portland being overrun with immigrant cartoon rabbits while Groening and Hadel, sitting outside at a coffee shop, pour brown liquor in to their coffees and begin to each draw in their own sketchpads. Credits run as Mmm Bop by Hanson plays.
Really sad to discover this wasn't a real film.

That’s a crazy story. You should make a movie about it.
>>
Honestly I'd love to see this. You should make a webcomic, anon.

This fucking reminds me of the Open Class thread.
An anon had a dream about a cyberpunk dystopia movie about humans and toons from what I remember, and I think Matthew Broderick was the MC.
This was over ten years ago and on another image board, probably lost to time, I wish I still had the shitty edit of Matthew Broderick poorly shooped in to a cyberpunk bg with some furry chick
