>>154203431This can be applied to preety much every marvel hero a this point with everyone who isnt a mainline villain being fodder without threat but nowadays even the mainline villains are nothing. All this ends up doing is making it look stupid when the Sentinels which cant even beat Jubilee now one shot Storm who has beaten 18 Odins with the Infinity Gaubntlet at once and is stronger then the one above all.
What I find interesting is that people keep trying to iterate and modernize Sentinels but the Mark 2 design keeps coming back and is easily the most iconic. It's like the design has its own force of "gravity" or something.

Current Nimrod is a completely different entity, being a bootstrap paradox, and the Krakoa era wrote Sentinels as emotive machines.

Larry Trask produces the Mark 2 Sentinels, the Helffire Club swipes the designs after his death, gives them to Steven Lang who uses them as his primary forces, after his death the Hellfire Club takes over production with later models mostly being internal improvements with only minor cosmetic differences. It's not until Bastion comes along that we begin to see major changes in Sentinel's external designs, but he's just a comparative flash in the pan. The bulk of Sentinels ever produced and still being produced are Hellfire Club Sentinels with everything else being short runs or one-offs.
