I find this fascinating because I feel we’ve yet to see a project from someone who clearly “outgrew” cartoons and has only spent the past 10 years of his life watching Family Guy, Rick and Morty, and South Park exclusively.Most indie creators are a similar flavor of manchild-like people who still love Cartoon Network and Super Mario and lots of other kiddie cartoony stuff.
