>Amazon listings indicate Marvel’s X-Men United ongoing comic is set to end with issue #10.
X-Men United #5 is solicited as “of 10,” signaling the series has a confirmed ten-issue run.
Issue #4 teases mounting fears, Emma’s mystery caller, and Iceman’s unusual training exercise.
X-Men United #6 brings the Shadow King to Graymatter Lane as allies turn on each other

>According to the current Amazon listings, the comic book series X-Men United, launched as an ongoing series, will only run to ten issues, falling foul of the curse that, to be fair, used to fall on Marvel comic book series at issue 5. Here are the listings, from Marvel and Ama

Graymatter Lane is totally safe from all interlopers. All threats are psionic, military or demonic. Right? Right. But what about the doubts and fears that always emerge among friends and lovers? And who keeps blowing up Emma's phone? Meanwhile, Iceman has a rather unorthodox training idea. Bring your twenty-sided die. 17th of June 2026
X-Men United #5 of 10) by Eve L. Ewing, Eduardo Pansica, Tiago Palma
Iceman's dream of bringing all the X-Men together for fun times and fellowship has backfired and left Graymatter Lane vulnerable as the teaching corps find themselves trapped on a distant plane of existence! Bad timing, as Lourdes Chantal is waiting in the wings on one side, a shadowy figure on the other – and who is Justina LaGuardia?! 1st of July 2026

Did anyone expect it to run for longer? Did anyone want it to?
>>
>>154204500
Tom Brevoort, who really wanted Eve Ewing to have an x-book. Pulled out all the stop to try to make this one work.
>>
>>154204537
And yet he failed in thast regard oh well you know what they say back to the drawing board.
>>
Can't wait for Marvel's takeaway from this piece of shit to be that they should never ever return to the school status quo.
>>
>>154204397
why I an not suprised this happened honestly marvel should have ended by now they ran out of ideas long ago.
>>
>>154204397
So I jumped off the x-train during age of revelation so maybe I’ve missed something but wasn’t this book supposed to bring the two different x-men teams together? But they’re still living in Alaska and Louisiana aren’t they?
>>
>>154205251
They should had never left the house in first place, fuck quesada and brevoort
>>
>>154204629
eve ewing failed, she's terrible.
>>
>>154208179
I don't mind them leaving the old mansion, I just want them to stop making every book read like Schism.
>>
>>154204397
Comics will never recover because the people in charge are retards and value being kissed in the ass more than talent. Look at that fat retard getting his wife a job writing X-Men, not even some D lister or something, meanwhile you would need to build a career through your own funds to then have the privilege to write for Marvel.
>>
>>154208156
It all takes place in the astral plane, yes.
>>
>>154208156
No, the comic was suppose to be "the fun mutant school" ala Wolverine & the xmen
>>
>>154208264
DC and Image is just better, marvel is the same circlejerk since quesada took over.
>>
>>154208264
>Look at that fat retard getting his wife a job writing X-Men
Who's Gail married to
>>
>>154204397
The entirety of X-Men in their current comics iteration should be canceled already.
>>
>>154204500
>Did anyone expect it to run for longer?
I'm not surprised but it's still a very damning thing for marvel.
>>
>>154210994
I was under the impression this was supposed to be the flagship x-men book so yes
>>
>>154211035
No, it's a replacement for the canceled "exceptional X-Men" with the added bonus of Brevoory half assing restoring the mansion/school setting fans have been wanting in the worst possible way while not fixing the Xbooks because Brevoory desperately wants Bendis to come back to them
>>
>>154211199
I feel like the Brevoort status quo of two different x-men teams living in shacks or whatever would’ve been fine for like a year as a sort of cooldown from the Krakoa era but it’s too boring for an ongoing status quo. Like we’re going into, what, the third year of this shit? I just really don’t think Brevoort gets what makes the X-Men work, people say he’s a Quesada guy but he’s bland as fuck and is stuck in that milquetoast Marvel era between Heroes Return and Marvel Knights
>>
>>154204397
So can failed writers like Eve Ewing just start getting the boot when they routinely fail?
>>
>>154204537
It's weird she did alright with Riri and actually made her a semi-interesting character but everything else she's written is garbage.
>>
>>154208359
DC is basically just Absolute and even then mostly Absolute Batman. Image is whatever Kirkmanslop is out because of TV shows.
>>
>>154212977
Admitting and learning from failure isn't really in.
>>
>>154213013
Okay well that’s still more than Marvel has at the moment
>>
>>154208264
>>154208359
>>154213013
So who's good then, you whiny faggot? There's like 50 indie studios out there, one of them have to be doing something good, or at least interesting.
>>
>>154210808
And replace them with who, marvel doesn't have very many good writers atm at all. That's why the x book stable is bad to begin with.
>>
Brevoort’s whole tenure at the X-office has been a slow moving disaster, with McKay’s book being the only one that’s miraculously been pretty decent throughout it
>>
>>154215230
Editors are alike all over is the problem.
