It's the same reason ship-teasing Batman with heroines like Zatanna is never going to fly, you don't pair a hero who has his own solo book up with a more powerful heroine who could solo his entire rogues gallery at once and emasculate and overshadow him in his book.Despite much of /co/'s hateboner for Babs, or the gay insistence she be crippled tech support for the actual heroes, if DC were going to commit to pairing Dick up with someone else long-term, it would end up being someone from the Batman books.
