>MadripoorCarmilla was originally intended to be the daughter of Viper and Silver Samurai but editors nixed it. However when her character was being designed the artist only had the original plan to go on. So she basically still looks like Mini-Viper.

You know, we're at the end of the first issue of this story but we already have an idea of who Carmilla is, her powers, her background, and what she's going to be doing in this story. Compare that to the previous story where it took Anya five issues to get a costume.Anyway, because of that delay I'll just go right to the next issue.

Issue 9>>154264220I doubt it. Oddly enough, after this story her (few) appearances have her portrayed as generally being an antagonist who is at best a kind of morally gray neutral figure. But also like a lot of characters from this overall storytime series she won't really show up past the very early 2010s.

>>154264876Meta reason, Mac actually got the Venom symbiote in Marvel Knights Spider-Man #9 which was a few months before Carmilla's debut. Van Lente was told to pitch a series starring a new character with the Scorpion moniker which presumably was because Mac was going to become Venom but Marvel still wanted someone with the name.
