The scene with zooble shows these are more exaggerations or the masks of Jax, which could also partly explain the Gangle scene. The one Jax that's closest to the real thing under the masks is chained to a piano and hated by the rest. Episodes 5 and 6 already showed clearly that Jax cared and Pomni was able to see under the masks. So it only makes sense he didn't actually want to leave her.

i wish we got to see other characters' rooms more. i get that their rooms are pre-built to match their character model but clearly they are able to decorate the room themselves after the fact as jax had pictures of his friends in his room. it would have been nice to get a narrow look into who people were even if we never met them in person.i used to be an EMT and ive had to go into people's bedrooms many times. most times i dont have the luxury of looking around, but i would catch glimpse of things while in there that could tell a bit about who i was with. a memorable time was when i was responding with my team to someone who was very clearly gone and there wasnt much we could do, and i was basically on assist at that moment so i snapped out of focus for a moment and looked around, and he had anime posters of shit i was watching at the time, and he even had battletech minis on his shelves. afterwards i couldnt help but think how he and i could have been good friends. its a certain type of melancholy that you get when you enter the private room of someone who is gone, i have no idea if theres a word for it. i know the show had limited track to work with but i wish deeply that they had made even a bit of an episode about this concept.

I think it's important to remember that the group didn't want to delete Caine, they just wanted to basically put him in a coma for a little bit. I think them accepting him into the group after a period of time where he's shown actual change and helped to make their lives better isn't really unreasonable. Something like that definitely could've used more fluff to build it up, like having occasional scenes where one of them actually kind of get along with Caine.
