However, what she's actually doing is just scarring a bunch of her fans with no actual benefit.Rocio merging herself into the website and "becoming" Lacey is the parallel to the effect Rocio's game had on the girls who visited the site, subjecting Lacey to countless horrors about the real world and cruelly chipping away at the "happy teenage girl without a care in the world" personality Lacey has.I recommend watching the scene in the bathroom during the pet episode where Rocio gives her monologue and Lacey panics. It explains the idea better than I ever could, and it's easily my favorite scene in the whole series.
