Is The Amazing Spider-Man #1000 the finale issue in the Series ?  No.154277328 Archived
Surprisingly enough the september solicts for marvel show listings but for one issue of the Amazing Spider-Man only ansd nothing the 1000 issue. Either this is the end od the series or it will get restarted with a bran new number #1 next month. My money is on the series geting yet another restart *sigh and cringe* here we go again

Thor was renumbered back to original numbering after 800, I assume the next Spider-Man will be #1001.
Also it's the perfect opportunity to stop releasing ASM 5 times a month and just release new Spider-Man monthlies with their own vibe, my guess that's why we've had all these high profile mini series this year.
Kelly gets demoted to a new #1, Slott gets a new #1, Bendis gets a new #1 and Hackman gets ASM #1001
