The point was that it's alright to have given up on him, and it's alright if you didn't. In the end he rejected all help and suffered the consequences. Maybe in the future they'll find a way to fix abstraction, but for now he's stuck that way.

There are tons of clues throughout the series. All the dress stuff, the bow in his hair scene, his girly room with the trans-flag colored floor, and his trans-flag colored eyes as he started to abstract in episode 7 all sealed the deal for me. Also, I suspect that the "deep and personal" thing he told his Mom was related to it. I mean shit, the VA for Ragatha even said Jax is trans.

We know this, he's a rotten kind of human being. Whether you want to help such a person or not is your call. What he did in reality and in the circus is fucking awful. He has "reasons", they aren't good ones, that's fine.
