I didn't watch the leaks because they were in a foreign language that I did not understand I could not get the subtitles to work properly so I said fuck it I'll wait until the official release. That finale was, uh, something... Yeah, I was skeptical about the whole "Jax is trans" thing and thought it was some dumb exaggerated thing about Jax being le heckin quirky but no, he/she/whatfuckingever really is trans. I don't know why that was done, because no matter from which side or perspective I see it from, Jax being trans is just bad. I dont think the finale was bad but it didnt earn the pay off it was going for. The show needed like 3 more episodes to fully explore the characters. There were so many montages, time jumps and disconnected scenes in the finale it was pretty sloppy. I still wouldnt call it bad but the execution couldve been better.

I really goose did the designs, outlined the world and characters, then someone more competent and less self-absorbed did the actual writing with goose relegated to creative consultant. there's still a lot to like about TADC but goddamn was there so much potential just utterly squandered in service of some weird mix of an ego trip and self-loathing
