A superhero would realistically be like a cop on steroids. Explain why The Comedian isn't the most realistic portrayal of a superhero in media.

Watchmen was never realistic or deep. It is about a commie who thinks the idea of superheroes being Fascist.

Good, you hogging faggot

Good.

Shut up, secondary

A cop on steroids is likely motivated by the belief his efforts help make the world a better place, the Comedian revels in misanthropic disdain and wouldn't want to be a benefit

While not realistic, I do think the reason people think it's more realistic is because it has more in-depth and thought-out world-building than the average Marvel or DC story, which just peppers superheroes onto the contemporary world with very little thought of how they would impact said world.

Lol, you fragile retard

>because it has more in-depth and thought-out world-building than the average Marvel or DC story,
Not really. The only thing made it gritty and down to Earth is how there is only one superpowered character and everyone else is non-powered.
>which just peppers superheroes onto the contemporary world with very little thought of how they would impact said world.
The fact that Watchmen doesn't need to do that and still feels only superficially realistic shows how little the comic can stand without holding a mirror to mainstream superhero comics.

Pick one.

He's right. This type of fiction typically appeals to people who wish they had power, and that they would totally use it correctly.

Too much show. Thats like the Running Man (1987). Captain Freedom is the Comedian but Sven the security guard would be the most realistical one.

The Incredibles is the embodiment of what superheroes are supposed to be about.

That's what midwits actually believe
>>
>>154317967
Correct. Asking the elite and powerful to follow the same laws of society that everyone else does would violate the premise of the superhero genre.

All attempts at accountability or regulation are inevitably evil or a form of persecution for the main characters of the universe.
>>
>>154312976
There's not realistic superhero. A cop on steroids is a terrible fucking idea because you're just spending resources on making a less efficient force simply for a symbol. If you had a purposeful Super Cop, there'd be a bunch of YNs trying to murder him for clout by the end of the year.

And that's a good thing
