I think the line between regular creative weird and actually crazy weird can be difficult to detect for non professionals. He was let go when continuing to work with him was no longer an option. Seems like by the time he was fired he was already on incredibly thin ice. I don’t know what the alternative is here. I don’t think people should be obligated to work with a crazy person just because it’s better for them than having no work. He did do some storyboarding work on other shows after Clarence so he wasn’t completely written off immediately. However, because he’s not doing that anymore, I’d tend to believe that it didn’t go so well.
