Does anyone actually think this is a good cover? Ignore Romita's history with Spider-man for a second because I don't give a fuck how long he's been a fan. It looks like he's just floating in mid-air giving a shrug. It looks like he drew one half of Spider-man then copy pasted and inverted it to have a full body. How did no one send this back asking for revisions? It's ridiculous looking. Why the fuck am I seeing people on twitter actually trying to defend it? Am I insane?

I think it's a bit of an awkward mix, the two styles and artists. But that's kind of endearing, if you look at it as being purposely a little hokey. Not every Spider-Man shot has to be hip and current, like Batman '66 or something it's a bit of a corny, light throwback. But I'm about to block the word Romita because it's becoming unbearable to see the thousands of posters accruing updoots for saying, "AHEM I LIKE JOHN ROMITA JR IDC" and posting his greatest hits from 25 years ago. Yeah he was great but then he fell off. A legend past his prime, that's the full picture.

I think they were starting to draw a web slingshot pose and then decided that since his body would partly be obscured from that angle, he should just be in the air after launch, while disregarding that when he launches his web slingshots, his posture changes fucking completely.

The shoulders are like 90% of the problem with the cover.
