probably for us around 2007 - Nova is briefly back during Annihilation (or hasn't left yet, if Civil War hasn't happened, because he's already off the New Warriors by then) and Hulk hasn't been shot into space but is still able to work for SHIELD up until then

the original bit with the Sentry was that he was everybody's best friend, so even if Reed didn't, it's just a continuation of that joke
