Do you know how men get "rock hard?" Well if the penis gets hard then the foreskin on it covers up the penis and hardens, and the penis needs to get even harder to break out of it, acting as a built-in hardness check before sex can begin. This is why Americans have cut foreskins, because the medical industry wants penises that aren't strong enough to crack rocks to be able to breed.

Are you a woman? Foreskin does not harden.

Yeah they do, the cheese coagulates and you got to crack the dick to pee, and remove the shards. It's why people get circumcised, they didn't realize dick sharding was harmless.

if you cut the hardened foreskin off without breaking it you can clap two of them together like coconut shells and make the same sound.

I'm really not sure what that'd do for us. The movie wouldn't have really benefited from a willing antagonist, in fact it was refreshing to have the trouble be more conceptual than, well, an evil villain like Wish's or a twist villain or a tragic villain. Should Bruno have hated his family and village? Maybe. It's a family movie though and the narrative does a lot of heavy lifting with that in mind. Like how a core part of Bruno's outcasting is (near) constant visions of fixed misfortune, with only Mirabelle given some actual options as well as even guidance for her way out.
