Unironically the only character who could have saved Jax.Of course, he didn’t know this nor should have it been his responsibility, and to his credit, he did attempt to, not to mention that he surely had his own laundry list of issues to bear the burden of from being hostage in the circus.He was likely the closest to doing so when he knocked jax on his ass (after trying to cooperate towards the primary goal of escape, even after conceding that they no longer saw eye-to-eye), but it was too late for himself at that point.The circus would have been entirely fine if he was alive when Pomni arrived.In fact, looking at the finale with this perspective, it only more sells the point that Jax more than deserved his fate and that the wrong guy died first.
