There were too many references to Goonies, John Carpenter scores, and whatever the olde timey music at the end was...I think the short would have benefit from a cohesive musical vision that paired better with the punky doodle monster aesthetic of the character designs. I love the music for the goonies, but the scenes where it was used (especially the final fight) really needed to be amped up by something a little more in-your-face. Still, cool aesthetic. I wouldn't mind seeing a whole series with this fun monster/halloween aesthetic. I think the characters and stories could use a bit of developing, but it would have shown promise as a pilot.
