(that's nuts, i had no idea she was real edition)soooowhaddya think warners is gonna do with their "biggest' IP on campus in this new day and age?
>>154339419Kill it. (Hopefully for good.)
for that matter, what d’ya think universal’s plans are for the franchise theme-park wise?
Might be time to put it out to pasture.
>>154339801>>154339604good luck with that: https://popgeeks.com/netflixs-live-action-scooby-doo-looks-pretty-underwhelming/
>>154340678(the dog looks like this btw)
>>154340678Look, I never had a more perfect opportunity to post that image.
When you think about the time Scooby-Doo came out, late 60's to early 70's, there was so much crazy stuff going on it's surprising WB doesn't do something more mature in that time period. Think about everything we know about that time, the mysteries and conspiracies, and add Scooby-Doo to the mix.
Perhaps one day we'll get another good Scooby-Doo show.
>>154344053they did, it was just set in the 2010's and only aesthetically resembled the 60/70's
>>154344831No, the point is to have Scooby-Doo in that time period, not now. Think Once Upon a Time in Hollywood meets Scooby-Doo.
>>154344128>Guess Who that lowIs it really that bad? From the handful of episodes I saw it seemed alright.
>>154344128>whats new >not Peak
>>154346764Yes.
>>154342274This would awaken something in Swain
>>154346808What's New is kind of derivative>what if the original but everything was early 2000sThat's it, that's the gimmick
>>154340678they should stop trying shit like Velma or this (do we need another Scooby gang origin story?) and just do a What's New for the 2020s which is basically the original show but for a new generation, in this case it'd be for gen alpha. Guess Who relied too much on callbacks to be a proper introduction for the youngest generation.
>>154347023Thats only an issue if you start/watch the OG scooby doo. Besides it serves as really good entry point even if its 'dated' (a non-issue considering how outdated the 60s show was by the time of Whats New)
>>154347182It kinda feels like there's too much stuff now to do another What's New. WNSD came off the heels of a quadrilogy of 90s films focusing on real monsters, after a decade of no show, while airing alongside two live action films. The world needed a reminder of what normal Scooby-Doo was now that the IP was back in the limelight. But now everyone knows what Scooby-Doo is, so the result seems to be to constantly shake things up with new series and theatrical films, while the direct to DVD films keeps the classic (late 2000s) Scooby-Doo feeling.
>>154341483Looks like AI
>>154345678give them a phone and call 'em up itc
>>154339636A Scooby-Doo horror ride that leads you toCourage the Cowardly Dog's haunted house. If either Paramount or Mattel has any brains, they will reach out and build a Hot-Wheels City (With Ken taking Barbie on dates through the city, plus he and co. do stunts), where you can drive through buildings, and visitors can see the cars pass through from insideOn special occasions, DC villains will attack the city, only to be defended by their th JL.A hotel based entirely on Barbie's houses would be a hit, with the exclusive roof area where the water slide is located.>>154342274Come on, Shaggy, it's a carnival, lose the pants and put on the kitty heels.
>>154347347early to mid 2010s Scooby Doo movies were interesting because a lot of them were parodies/inspired by big name movies like Phantom of the Opera, Alien, slasher movies with Camp Scare, and Jurassic Park, late 2010s and early 2020s relied too much on crossovers and meta stuff for me, though I liked the one with Scarecrow and Elvira.
>>154347758ngl i wonder how much respect batman gave mystery inc after that
>>154339636more look-alike actors
>>154347347They can do a show incorporating the mystery of Daphne's scrapped bro, W.W. Blake (sometimes mistaken as the "Mike Andrews" of the old group names).
>>154347758Also, trying to redo the continuity of Zombie Island and 13 Ghost did not help things. Which is a shame because there's a lot could be done with those stories.
>>154344053>The Scooby Doo Prophecies>unmasks Mothman and it turns out it was John Keel all along
Rough Sex with Velma
>>1543471822020s could create a lot of original villain motives like a guy covering up his a crypto scam, an artist trying to hide that his art is AI, a MrBeast parody who is just doing it for a game, and a guy who's scaring kids from a store so he can have all the copyright free pokemon cards/labubus to himself and resell them
>>154349163also a lot of that anti-scrappy bias really threw the latter offwhen'll WB learn it was the execs' fault scrappy turned out to be a huge annoyance
>>154350007the best time to make that movie would have to be after velma S2 since his reputation was saved
>>154349163There was literally nothing wrong with either of those.>but velma said! And she was wrong. It was still supernatural.
>>154350160still not cuttin' it; that was still an evil scrappy jokethey still haven't lived it down
>>154349313i like the ideas; but they see way too topical to do on an animator's schedule(mebbe comics might do the trick)
