You know, I don't think we give Doomsday character enough credit. Sure we mostly see a mindless, hate driven monster hell bent on killing anything that moves with his bare hands, but once you start thinking about his origin and existence you come to appreciate the brute a bit more. A being that died again, and again, and again, for the sake of scientific curiosity, and suffered endless simply by existing. To live is kill, to evolve is to compete, to win either way. And in the future when Doomsday evolves to think and becomes The Time Trapper, he is driven for meaning that has escaped him for eons
Have to admit to loving the Hunter Prey book as a wee lad, and reading it over and over, which endeared him to me.
