I watched episode 1 & 2 back when they first released, but I never had much of an interest in the show and didn't pay attention to it after that so I missed all the fan speculations and theories which could influence my opinions and expectations. I watched the rest of the episodes back to back today and I'm surprised the ending got so much hate? I see people saying that Jax shouldn't have been focused on but I don't really think he is in the way people say? I thought it was pretty obvious the focus on Jax is less about Jax himself and more about the issues he faced which all of the other characters are shown to have been going through in earlier episodes, Jax just being the most severe case which makes focusing on him not that weird? Like Gangle using a mask to be another person and being influenced by Jax is blatantly shown previously and hard to miss, for example. Jax is just a showcase of how bad the other characters could've become? Am I missing something? I didn't think the ending was perfect or anything but it was pretty good overall.

I too was out of the loop only catching up last week. I was satisfied by the ending, but think it deserved another season desu. But with that being out of the question it was emotionally satisfying enough for someone only invested for about a week.

However, This is apparently some generational defining stuff for a not insignificant amount of youths. Globally.

Feelings were bound to get hurt.

>TADC's ending wasn't that bad?
It wasn't bad at all! No idea where that narrative is coming from..

Yeah. It felt like a middling episode, which is bad for a finale, but on its own its mostly alright. Its not the disaster people were saying it was and its not the masterpiece Reddit or Twitter says it is.
I guess its a disaster if you're a Jaxfag but their opinions can be thrown out the trash along with their character

jax so lovely thoughhhhhhh

Froggy was a cunt, Jax doesn't deserve the blame for her abstracting. He was in the right to be pissed off.

the rabbit faggot needs the brat fucked out of him

It's not bad, it's mediocre, forgettable

Why did Ribbit the frog just assume that Jax was trans when he said he told his mom a deep secret?
He never said what the secret was.

>caring about the feelings of AIs
that alone invalidates all the emotional impact for me. if they were real people who had to accept they were trapped in a simulation and rotting away on the outside, it would have been good.
