Astro Boy has a few positives
>>154346584It has a few positives alright, for HIV and AIDS.
>>154346584She's alright. Solid 7/10. Was the movie middling or something? Any other nice ladies in the movie?
>>154348829Movie was below average, especially below if you're an Astroboy fan
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It's a flawed movie, but in a post Kung Fu Panda 2 world, I can cut it some slack
>>154346584WHAT BRA SIZE IS THAT?BRA SIZE EXPERTS WE NEED YOU.WHAT SHAPE IS THAT?
>>154346584>It purposely missed the plot of the original work, the 2nd half is filled with lame mid-2000s cartoon network humour, the whole cast consists of A-listers having three to five line cameos, it killed off the Gatchaman movie that actually looked good and the studio behind this was so embarassed of the character they were adapting that they essentially completely rewrote all of his personality to make him a generic teen hero>BUT HEY, THERE'S THIS BACKGROUND LADY FOR YOU TO FAPOnly good parts of the movie were Tobio's death along with the performances of Freddie Highmore and Nic Cage
>>154349182>Movie was below average, especially below if you're an Astroboy fanA big issue with western media compared to eastern is that western stuff has forgotten how to be sincere, thanks to irony poisoning. Astro boy (and most worthwhile anime) is typically bubbling over with sincerity, sentimentality, and shameless melodrama built on acknowledgment of the human condition, which is the kind of stuff westerners typically think is "cringe".If you legitimately love Astro Boy, you're better off watching the 2003 series (subbed, not dubbed), and/or reading the Pluto manga.
>>154353388There's a place for him, alright.
>>154353388they couldn't call him Adam?
>>154348829It was alright, but they took a lot of liberties with the origin. The west just isn't ready for a mad scientist father figure to sell his surrogate son into slavery, I guess.
