This is one of the worst additions to Batman lore ever.If there is to be a Bat family, it should be Alfred, Damien or Dick depending on the date, and one Batgirl.The rest of the members either need to go solo, stay a villain, or just be killed off.And turning the Robins in human versions of the TNMT has been a disaster.

He was arguably a better athlete than Bruce, which is something he acknowledges the first issue he's in. It's why he's the Boy Wonder. Batman originally didn't go around the world training with ninjas, he studied hard and worked out but still had limitations compared to someone who's been physically training since he was walking. Everyone else doesn't have that background except Cass and Damian.

Not even Batman lore but superhero lore. Every major hero now needs a "family" and its annoying. Especially because most of them use that hero's ordinary human friends and romantic interests as heroes as a quick and lazy way to get a superhero family quick, leaving them with no ordinary friends, which used to be a staple of the superhero genre and now is not.
The reason they do this is because anything Batman sells. A Batman side character will outsell any newly introduced OC hero.
