Bun-bun works well as a disruptor and a force of chaos and for slap-stick comedy, but as Sluggy Freelance is starting to get to an end (maybe?) in a few years (?), I wonder if anything conclusive and satifying can be done for this characterWe got a lot of backstory delivered about him recently and its seems it's going somewhere, but I do'nt see any resolution that would be anticlimactic.I don't believe in the "rule" that every characters need character development. Some can just stay the way they are and work well like this, but here it looks like Pete is building up to something, and I don't see how he could do something that would leave an impression.-Just killing him, still unapologetic and unrepentant?I mean, not even a sacrifice that could help the rest of the gang, just a cheap pointless kill that would only serve to show the gang is facing an opponent stronger than Bun-bun. That would be what would make the most sense, for the character, but that would still feel flat. Nothing really satisfying there, but I don't see what else to do. There would just be Torg left to mourn him.-Him showing he actually care about the gang? Wouldn't feel earned. After years of establishing he only care for number one and everyone else is a mean for an end for his personal satisfaction. There isn't enough to warrant such development. Would feel forced on the character.I can actually see Bun-bun organically developing this way.-Nothing changes and he just remains the same sociopathic bunny, keeping the same dynamic with the rest of the band with zero come-uppance, the end? I guess this one would have made the most sense until recently, but with how much we have learned about him, now this seem less fitting. The story feels like it's building to something and getting nothing would leave a void, for me.So, I don't really know. I expect to be disappointed, with that character. Then again, Pete has managed to surprise me before, maybe he can pull it off again...
