Season 3 wasn't as good as it could have been but it wasn't absolutely terrible.The one thing I would absolutely, positively have changed is that, at the end, when Rapunzel heals Cassandra, she should have SUNG the Healing Incantation. She never sings the whole Healing Song once in the entire show; or, there's a flashback scene where little Raps sings it, but adult Raps never sings the whole song, all the way through, once.And at the end, when the song would be absolutely perfect, she fucking chants it instead. Baffling decision. Let's have it sung, one last time, for God's sake.

It's not every day that you encounter a literal Disney property that is constrained by Disney, but this one is. Can you imagine how cool this show could have been if it weren't under the Mouse's aegis? Tangled The Series always dangled the potential of going full Lovecraft in front of us but it could never deliver. Imagine a version of this show where people could go insane, be tortured, actually die. The bones of a cosmic horror adventure are here, I've always lamented that the potential could never be fulfilled.Rapunzel gets a literal DEATH SPELL but can't do anything with it, because of course she can't, because Disney.
