>>154356426Uhm, yeah the whole 9/11 issue of Spider-Man comes to mind.It has Doctor Doom, Magneto and Kingpin mourning the victims, maybe Kingpin isn't that evil but Doom and Magneto are both complete monsters who have at least tried to do worse things. Then there is the whole idea that 9/11 is just as bad and shocking in the Marvel universe as in the real world despite, again, equal or worse things happening quite frequently in that world. And where were the Avengers, X-Men and countless other heroes to stop it?9/11 was bad in real life, don't get me wrong there, it was a complete tragedy. But thinking you can just implement it into superhero fiction as is and pretend it works in the slightest is completely retarded, an event like that just doesn't make sense with the setting and is incredibly offensive. If they wanted to make a comic about 9/11, they shouldn't have made it a fucking Spider-Man comic, set it in the real world where it makes sense.

Now some proactive hero might go "Hmmm, that plane is flying oddly, I should know, I know all the flight paths around New York City." and investigate but that's a stretch. It took until 8:20 for ATC to decide there was a hijacking in progress and it took until 8:38 for the first "official" report to NORAD to go through which would be when a government sanctioned superhero might be summoned to investigate. So whatever superhero is A) contactable via government channels, B) operates in or nearby NYC and C) is capable of reaching and stopping the plane has approximately 8 minutes to stop the first plane.
