How the fuck do you make a series about Tetris?
>>
smurf style with each shape has a quirk

Where is this image from?

I personally wouldn't make a movie about Tetris, it doesn't make much sense. I'd rather see a Frogger movie
>>
>>154363654
If they can make a show about Amogus they can do it with Tetris

A show with fucking Pacman exists, like damn.

MULTIPLE SHOWS AND MOVIES don’t forget it

All buildings are made out of them. The way you make buildings and city infrastructure is with tetrominoes. Architects have to be experts with tetrominoes. Everyone is trained in it and competes in tetris very seriously and its the basis of all academia curriculum.

pac-man's a bad guy?

>>154364215
These two have characters and (albeit barebones) stories. What the fuck does Tetris have?
>>
>>154364260
Not really all that noteworthy since "Pac-Man" was just present as basically just a skin the villain wore because the series for that year was themed around video games and because Bandai owns the toy rights.

Still pissed that no Rider was featured as a guest character for Tekken 7, seeing how Tekken is part of Emu's backstory and fukken Negan got in instead
>>
We had a show about Rubik's cube. And a movie about emojis

The question isn't "can it be done" it's "should it be done". If need to ask, the answer is "no".

Remember the Robot Chicken parody skit of this?
>>
>>154363654
Well, the logical thing would be to use the Puyo Tetris characters based on the shapes. But that is a little odd and won't feel much like Tetris. So I assume it is going to be about some sort of Tetris world.

Do you know where he moved exactly?

Put a chick in it and make her gay and lame

That movie was pretty good.
Plus Gislane Maxwell's father plays a major role in it.
You have no idea how far the Tetris hole goes.
>>
>>154365985
The original youtube documentary was better. A simple, straight forward telling of an interesting intersection of history, geopolitics, and videogames, in a way that helps emphasize what was going on with all of it.

The movie tries to make it too dramatic, and in doing so robs the story of the real power it had by being just true.

Glad to see this posted so early. Still think about them, all these years later.

This is dogshit compared to flashgitz

Doesn't help that his government largely left him out in the cold, rightly (though callously) making the legal argument that he made it on state time on state machines, so he has no real right to any personal benefit from the games success.

Meanwhile an American businessman became his actual friend and was the one to suggest he should see something from the game that took the world by storm. Of course he fucking took his hand to immigrate to America and help in buying up the licensing rights to it years later.

It's like some kind of joke about Communism. Propaganda, almost. "Good guy American international businessman helps look after the poor forgotten Russian worker."

Honestly kind of looks like they're copying ReBoot and using Tetraminos as portals to another world.
>>
>>154364825
I can't count the number of times that piece saved my game. S/Z and T pieces are such assholes.

Nothing new under the sun, apparently.

You base it off of the best Tetris game, obviously. The only game to give it lore that actually worked.

>>154366646
Two cartoons in the current decade trying to copy ReBoot? Goddamn LMAO!

Everyone who had that game spent 99% of their time with it playing classic mode.
>>
>>154363654
Make a story about the life of Alexey Pajitnov and the slow rise of Tetris from a silly little project he made in his off hours to one of the most popular video games in the world. Like that live action movie that came out a while back but not shitty.
