That episode always pissed me off, FoP is very episodic but one of the few recurring plotpoints is that not only Crocker's fairy obsession is Timmy's fault but he would be much happier and nicer to people if he didn't have it. Timmy hasn't done jack shit to fix the problem he caused, and when Crocker tries to improve, Timmy has to drag him back for a bullshit reason.

FOP tends to have a ton of recurring plotholes, like the rest of the Anti-Fairies, but this is one episode where I'd say reverting Crocker's status quo was justified. His obsession quite literally is the the source to Fairy World's power, so being cured of his obsession would've made magic obsolete.
