What would a '90s Justice League movie with Reeves, Keaton, Carter and Shipp realistically be like?
>>
>>154375302
Keanu Reeves?
>>
>>154375302
Reeves' Batman is Adam West
>>
>>154376939
OP means Christopher, not George.
>>
>>154375302
Superman solving all problems with his Repair Buildings vision and the others try to look useful in some way.

For all his cool gadgets, Keaton Batman often really struggled to 1V1 random thugs a lot and often hot his ass kicked.

I don't know if that Superman and Wonder Woman would approve of a Batman that has no problem murderizing through waves of villain goons with grenades and missiles.

They would probably get along better with Val Kilmer Bruce,

Flash and Tina McGee might actually be the back at the base lab people that make all the smart calls and planning.

Reeve. No S. ReeveS with an S was George.

Man, this would be fucking weird. They'd be pulling from a massively successful movie franchise, a previously-successful movie franchise that had recently become a joke, a TV series that ended over a decade ago, and a TV series that was basically dead on arrival.

It probably depends on when in the 90s it was made. Right after Batman '89, you'd probably get a surreal, Burton-ified premonition of the Snyderverse, with execs trying to force the recently-successful "dark and gothic" motif on the other characters. If it was made after Returns, it'd probably end up more lighthearted and cartoon-y. That'd probably work better, but you'd need a truly talented special effects team (like on the level of the Donner Superman movies or the Star Wars OT) to pull it off. Even the most ambitious blockbusters of the day, like Terminator 2 or Jurassic Park, weren't quite at the level of spectacle that a Justice League movie would call for.

Either way, I bet the villain would be something that'd let them play with the shiny new CGI toys that were all the rage at the time. I think it'd be remembered as a total joke or a landmark movie that moved special effects forward with very little in-between.

They'd definitely beef Batman up a bit and ditch all the wild Silver Age powers Superman had in those movies.

>>154375338
Don't be pedantic, anon.
>>
>>154375302
I feel like Burton's Batman doesn't really fit alongside the campy Silver Age inspired Reeve Superman and Carter Wonder Woman

Then spell it correctly, cunt.

>>154375302
well it'd be before 1995 so Lynda Carter would be about 40 to 45 and competing in audiences' minds with Kim Basinger and/or Michelle Pfieffer, which, in that costume, ain't gonna happen

Reeve has his accident in 1995 and Keaton and Shipp are busy filming in 1991 (and there's no Flash show much before that)

I'm thinking the production values and budget of Superman IV and the tight writing of primetime network fantasy-dramas

>>154379614
>a previously-successful movie franchise that had recently become a joke

some people said it was dead at Superman III, but to be honest I like Gus Gorman's plot and the cast are mostly solid

even IV, which is objectively a bad movie, has very nice performances turned in; not just Gene Hackman and Christopher Reeve, but pretty much everybody gives it their best shot, and I think there was a certain amount of recognition of that at the time
>>
>>154379614
After 1993 it wouldn't work any longer. Any time before that it might have a chance. 1990-91 might be the best spot.

Like ass

It would lean 100% on Batman since that was the most, and at that time only, successful franchise. It would basically be the Batman and pals show at best. Everything would have to be Burtoned-up some including making Superman and Wonder Woman much more gritty and in leather or black in some way. No bright colors on anything, Flash works though since he was made to look like he might fit in the Burton world.

The biggest hurdle is that it needs an insane film budget. And before the 00s no one ever put those types of budgets to a tv series at all. Fox and HBO started that whole trend.

Why use Reeve when there was already a Superman for the early 90s at the same time as Keaton Batman and that Flash?
>>
>>154378888
>I don't know if that Superman and Wonder Woman would approve of a Batman that has no problem murderizing through waves of villain goons with grenades and missiles.

This would be an issue. Keaton Batman is too much of a cold blooded killer for Superman to want to put up with.
>>
>>154375302
Would be better than any shit we got since then (except nolan trilogy)
>>
>>154383418
the superman for the early 90s was the one who killed dracula

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UI182EqWhgM

New Adventures didn't even start until fall 1993 at which point you have 27 year old superman matched up with late 30s flash and early 40s batman and wonder woman

for the same reason you don't use West who is 20 years older than the others, you don't use the guy who's 15-20 years younger than them

Probably not very good.
