I think there were some major rewrites because the shift in focus after the Gangle episode could not have been the original intent. Maybe up until the baseball episode since the baseball episode was effectively the first "Jax episode" and was fine on its own.

Is the big reveal of the FINAL episode is that they were always brain scans then it is pretty important to explain where exactly they are and how they got there. Otherwise the setting makes no logical sense. Goose chose to place them in the real world being contemporaries with their real selves. That means the plot now needs an explanation to why there's a fully powered yet abandoned building somewhere in the real logical physical world. Goose could've just not specified this but chose to continue saying the computer is out there somewhere in magical creepypasta office land. There's a million better ways to explain this including not saying anything but Goose chose the worst one anyway

I think it's very obvious. There's arguments to be made on whether the jax pity arc was handled well or not (it wasn't), but the most direct criticism is simply that the jax pity arc took over the entire show when it was supposed to be a show about Pomni (the main character) and a proper cast of supporting characters.

Even goose admitted that more time to breathe would've been good for all the other characters, it's just that he was burnt out doing even just 9 episodes. What is also true, however, is that not doing the massive Jax arc across three whole episodes would've given a lot more room to explore the rest of the characters and situation and everything else.

>AI software gets transferred to some software company
>Caine, now housed in a far more powerful computer, creates The Circus
>Caine creates the original crew (picrel) using the brainscans from the 90s

>Ragatha finds the old computer/headset combo, unwittingly puts it on while touring the abandoned office building
>brainscan gets transmitted to the current iteration of the Circus
