Why can't the actual show's animation look like this?

If it’s so easy why don’t fans make entire series like that on their own?
>>

You could argue about the budget, but I think the real problem is the production time. That takes a long time. And they are trying to have a season once a year.
>>
>51 seconds of animation
ok now do it 900 more times
>>
>>154459968
90% of the budget goes to the VAs
>>

Bc you retards demand a season a year. Something of this quality could take 3, but let's be honest your entitled western ass couldn't bear the wait

>Something of this quality could take 3,
EMH, JLU, Ben 10 and Gen Rex disprove your claim

Action scene wanting to be animated on ones.
Lowest FPS for broadcast television is 24.
Each second would want 24 frames.
Each minute would want 1,440 frames.
Each frame averages 10 minutes to make.
A single minute of action would take 240 man-hours to draw.
The average salary of an animator in the US is $82,000, or roughly $39.50 per hour.
That single minute of animation would cost roughly $9,500.

As a producer, is $9,500 worth it?

because it wasnt ai assisted

Each second does not require 24 frames. If you're animating on 2s, youre only drawing 12 distinct individual frames. Even then, you're most likely drawing less than 10 frames with selective pauses, while maintaining smoothness. So outside of the dust effects, you're seeing an average of 10 frames per second of character motion.

Not even the old disney movies were animated on ones.

Why can't you buy an ad?

I have to change my statement. This is what an average of 10 frames per second looks like. He's nowhere close, maybe 8

Because most of the animation got sub-subcontracted to SEK Studio. (Yes, really.)

That shouldn't be the problem. Anime studios put out equivalent runtimes (more episodes, but fewer episode counts, which more or less even out in terms of total minutes of animation) on shows that have yearly seasons without issue. Hell, those studios are often doing *multiple shows per years* this way, even if a given show itself might only get 12-24 episodes a year.
And they manage to do this producing an entire season of anime on what Invincible spends on a single episode.

Mismanagement and insisting on overpaying for big name hollywood actors for stupid reasons is to blame here. That and a general lack of creative vision and directing talent, we don't respect animation as a medium in America.

Every episode is 45 minutes and most are scenes of people flying. Cut the padding and now episodes are 17 minutes

too expensive
>>
>>154459968
Because most of the animators working on the actual series are low-ranking South Koreans who aren't really that skilled.

It's true, we've been waiting on pic related for 2 years now

Bull shit, if they can afford high-profile celebrities for their voice cast they can invest in higher-quality visuals

Because you are not in charge!

Ok now explain why literally every seasonal action cartoon from the last 20 years looks better.
Name a series with regular seasons that looks worse.

You need a locked down schedule. Even then there are still massive stinkers from anime. And there are very often complaints regarding overwork and underpay.

on such big budgets such as invincible? Not really. Of course not all of them are well animated but that would be an impossible request, still it's sad that something like invincible had worse animation than the big battle shonen that were airing at the same time.
>And there are very often complaints regarding overwork and underpay.
True but that means that american animators should have an easier time animating stuff since they have better conditions yet for invincible it was the opposite.
