Paramount was in the middle of being sold and people were being fired and then it premiered a month before it was owned by the the nepo baby who became focused on buying WB about 2 months later, and fired more people at Paramount. It was kind of dead on arrival because of corporate bullshit. It was nothing the show did, or even ratings. Just bad timing.
