I think that comic authors and movie studios should be legally culpable for doing this kind of thing.
What gave them the right to take something you love and rape it on a spiritual level, and then hand it back to you and demand that you enjoy it?
It should not be allowed to stand. If they tarnish or ruin a character in this way there needs to be consequences.
