So does anyone think there was ever going to be a way to write Jax still as the asshole "funny guy" who thinks he killed his mom, confessed to his digital BFF, and then drove her to insanity, and still somehow make him redeemable?My only thought is having to change a few beats in his story. -Definitely keep the stuff with his mom, because that was a good secret to reveal that he definitely wouldn't want everyone to know about it.-Change how abstraction works, or clarify that loneliness and isolation may not even be the only factors of what triggers it.-Clarify that Ribbit is the first Abstraction that everyone but Kinger and Caine knew about. Kinger only remembers in the dark and is excusable for not telling anyone, and Caine, well, is Caine.-Establish through Ragatha that after Ribbit Abstracted, she, Kaufmo, and Kinger didn't see Jax for a while, and when he showed up, he was acting like a totally different person, like the Jax we know from the first episode. This would help establish that he may have had a mental break.I dunno, what do ya'll think are some ways to have left a path towards redemption, if only too late?
