The Incredibles.

Personally I'm stuck between Ratatouille and the Incredibles, the former because it easily has one of the best climaxes in any Pixar movie and the latter because I love the general style and how tight of a movie it is.
>>
Wall-E is my personal favorite by far.
>>
>>154512440
Toy Story 2. Everything afterwards was underwhelming. Extremely overrated studio.

Do you think they dislike Shrek for winning that inaugural academy award when Monsters Inc was also an option?

This. It's literally perfect. Absolutely haunting.

They're my top two also, but I gotta go with Ratatouille for #1

Objectively perfect:
>Incredibles
Personal favorites:
>Inside Out
>Wall-E
>Toy Story trilogy
>Finding Nemo
>Monsters Inc
Only good because of the opening
>Up
Only good because of the ending
>Ratatouille
Surprisingly good middle and I will defend it:
>Turning Red
Only good because of the visuals:
>Coco

Same. Ratatouille is probably my favorite, but Incredibles is my favorite superhero movie.

8 is generous. I wonder if it would have been more of a cultural phenomenon if the first act had just been a longer short film and it had ended with wall-e and eve tragically separated or something (idk im not a writer)

Very hard to pick Pixar's BEST, but I do really love a lot about Monsters Inc. It's such a creative take on the "monster in your closet" concept, and manages to be a fun buddy comedy, a gripping corporate espionage thriller, AND a sweet found-family story all in one <3
>>
Monsters Inc was always a childhood favorite since I was a toddler.
>>
>>154512440
So many are incredible. I think A Bug's Life is kind of a dark horse because it gets overshadowed so often but I think it's actually an incredible Seven Samurai/Three Amigos riff. Pixar's output through Toy Story 3 had no misses and any one of those could easily be considered the best of all time. Personally though? The Incredibles.
>>
Incredible, Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2.
These are the ones that are perfect all the way through.

The rest have amazing parts (such as the start of UP) but weaker wholes.
>>
>>154512440
The Incredibles is not only the best thing they've ever made but it's one of the best films of the decade and still hands-down the best superhero movie of all time by a wide margin. It's one of those rare movies that's basically immaculate; nothing is wasted, nothing is superfluous and it defies any attempt at improvement. Off the top of my head the only other film I can think of with that similar quality is Network and that's some pretty rarefied air as far as I'm concerned.

Cars 2 is awful but in such an insane way that it's worth watching at least once

Ah shit, forgot to delete one. It's in S. Finding Nemo is the only A-tier.

And in case it wasn't obvious, they're graded on a curve; a lot of the lower-tiers are still on par with or better than most of what Illumation and Dreamworks shits out. Not that being a better movie than Boss Baby or Minions is all that hard, mind you.
