Is anybody just fucking tired of this bitch? Tara showed up in the Gumby movie in 1995 with No PRIOR APPEARANCES and was just pushed as Gumby's love interested. Even in the movie she is just randomly there and gets that music video where she and Gumby dance with swords and shit while Goo, who has been around for decades prior and has an established relationship with Gumby, is totally sidelined and is also polite enough to not say anything. Even the Reddit Gumby subreddit hates Tara and it just makes no sense. They shoehorned her into the recent comics too and once again is useless. Goo can fly, shoot clay balls as an attack to help out and is just infinitely better. Also Goo's hair is made of yarn which is unique. NO OTHER CHARACTER HAS THIS UNIQUE PROPERTY! To make this situation even worse, Tara's friend, Ginger, is demure and pleasant and not an attention whore, is basically a non-player for the whole movie. I can even get behind Gumby having a romantic fling for the sake of the movie but why fucking Tara? Ginger makes so much more sense to be with Gumby because they are the same shape! No wonder the Gumby movie flopped. Also I hate how all of the randos in Gumby's band have visible feet. Even in the 90's footfags ruin everything. Goo and Prickle are great but honestly Gumby peaked at the end of the initial run when it was just him and Pokey. Pokey has been completely sidelined and as the decades went on his special relationship with Gumby has been less and less apparent. The reboot looks like shit but at least Pokey is more prominent and hopefully Tara will get smashed if she shows up at all. Fuck Tara for real...
