I can confirm. Just saw it again for the fifth time today in another packed theater. Everyone got up and clapped and sang along the ending dance montage with music by Beyonce. Kids were screaming "it's MINION TIME!" and spazzing out in gibberish. God bless America and God Bless Minions!

It's probably actually doing pretty good just because it's 4th of July weekend and a lot of kids and parents got Friday off. There's just no way they did 16 bil because of that
