Last time, Molly ended up in an Oliver Twist situation with other young runaway children taken in by an ersatz Fagin but with their help was able to defeat him and return to the group. The new Pride, Alex's online gaming friends who'd discovered what had happened and were being led by a younger and time displaced Geoffrey Wilder, attempted take revenge on the Runaways for Alex's death, managing to sow distrust and kidnap Molly under the belief that the Runaways were villains. Karolina and Xavin returned, the wedding having gone wrong and resulted in more war, and the group set out to rescue Molly.Nico and Xavin managed to trick Wilder who was in turn defeated by Chase and Gert... but not before he mortally wounded Gert. With Gert dead and Wilder sent back to the past, the group next began dealing with a giant rampaging monster but without Chase. For Chase had taken the Absolute and left the group, strongarming ex-Pride member Lotus into helping him contact the Gibborim in order to make some kind fo deal.Today is Runnaways #21-24.Previous >>154566167

That finishes up BKV's time with these characters and it's kind of a shame there's probably not a scenario in which he ever gets to write them again, leaving them forever in the clutches of Rainbow Rowell.Next time it's back to the muties for New X-Men #33-37.
>>154592747I guess the point is that his abuse has left him more messed up than he showed and Gert's death really screwed him up more. But it gets kind of forgotten about and doesn't go anywhere. Like I've said though I do think he's the best overall character in the series and the one with the most depth.
