For like a few years netflix went on a spending spree green lighting a bunch of original cartoons from famous cartoon creators and up and coming newbies. Then I guess someone did the math and saw these shows were too expensive amd didn't bring in enough subscribers, like you said, and they just canceled everything that was in development that wasnt Big Mouth and that included season 2 of inside job.Big Mouth probably escaped being skullfucked because it was partially bank rolled by Nick Kroll's rich daddy.
