This episode would have been better if at least they would have tried to be a bit scientifically accurate. The episode did have its moments though
>>

Baby's first Gnostic gospel.
>>
>>154598366
If he didn't want them to try to escape why did he allow them to keep their memories upon ensnaring them? Really he could've memory wiped them all and they'd still regularly kill each other by hunting and eating.
>>
>>154598900
Like the demiurge he couldn't alter their souls, only trap them
>>
>>154598900
I mean the episode has several logical flaws and expects viewers to just roll with it. Honestly its lot of lazy writing
>>
>>154598366
Why are people saying that this was the best Rick and Morty episode ever? It was pretty cool but there was like zero comedy in a comedy show
>>
>>154598979
poop isn't funny?
>>
>>154598945
are you still mad about them not all turning into plants?
Noone else but Morty wanted to do that because it's a lifetime of people eating you and shitting you with seemingly no end.
There's also no way for them to operate their spacecraft as plants. They brought this up, only Monkeys have the thumbs to use technology.
>>
>>154598979
It's just a typical bottle episode like that fear hole one.
Not the funniest but they're good in a Twilight Zone way, let you see a cool scifi scenario
>>
>>154599005
>are you still mad about them not all turning into plants?
There are too many logical flaws in the episode. Why are single cell organisms having so much intelligence and sentience. How are they evolving so fast? How did the carnivores survive plant based diet? etc....
>>
>>154598979
There were some fun bits but the writing was too hand wavy even for Rick and Morty
>>
>>154599049
>Why are single cell organisms having so much intelligence and sentience.
In terms of biological data stored in DNA, the genome of a human cell is equivalent to approximately 1.5 gigabytes of digital information (about 3 × 109 base pairs).

Not enough hardware to process that like human sentience
>>
>>154599088
a brain's information is at least 2.5 petabytes.
oh well i guess they stored it in their "souls"
>>
>>154598366
Didn't get creative enough with the animals. They basically Star Trek forehead aliened a bunch of earth based animals. Alright episode but not all that deep.

grass tastes bad
>>
>>154600110
You did it wrong. Oats and rice are grass.

it was fun when looking at it as pure fiction and propaganda. What was the point of leaving everyone as animals if they were gonna be turned back to normal without explanation anyway?
>>
>>154599242
Morty's plant evolution.
>>
>>154600190
>Oats and rice are grass.
Completely incorrect.
Oats are oats and rice is rice - grass on the other hand is grass, they are all completely different species.
This is like saying chimpanzees, orangutans, Africans and normals are all humans.
>>
>>154600313
>Oats are oats and rice is rice - grass on the other hand is grass, they are all completely different species.

No, that's completely incorrect. Oats and rice are indeed kinds of grass. Grass is actually a family of plants, Poaceae, and contains a huge variety to crops. Wheat, corn, rice, barley, oats, rye, millet, sorghum, bamboo, and sugarcane are all species of grass.

I can't stand listening to the new voice actors. With all the unnecessary, unfunny meta commentary written into the script why isn't the voice change ever addressed?
>>

Until we find something older than Gobekli Tepe that definitely wasn't a brewery, we probably started domesticating these for alcohol. The disease is in you and even if you abstain it already drove your evolution and the development of all the culture you inherited.
>>
>>154600292
Its too long though...
>>
It was just boring and unfunny, same with that other episode where Rick is an ice fisher or whatever.
>>
>>154600493
It has been, 2 or 3 times.
Can't remember which episodes, lots of meta jokes can fit anywhere like Family Guy cutaways.
>>
>>154601088
Fine, Monkey Morty going into the bushes to jerk off then.

Morty should be a girl and should fuck Rick

Probably one of the stronger ones this season. Didn't feel like a rushed generic mess like the others.

No pointless filler chase/action scene, no random B plot that just rapes the pacing, wasn't drenched in irony or meta humour. Felt like a writer had an actual idea they wanted to do
>>
>>154599013
I honestly wish Rick and morty would go this route.
>>
>>154598988
It can be, but there are limits.
